You need to know that God loves you.
God loves you so much that He gave His son to die in your place.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
You need to know that you are a sinner.
God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose sin. Our sins separate us from God.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
You need to know that there is a penalty on sin.
The wages or payment for your sin is separation from God in hell forever.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death;”
Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
You need to know the good news that Christ died to pay for your sins.
All our sins were place on Christ on the cross. He paid your penalty for you by His death. He arose with power over death to save you from your sin. He lives forever to keep you as His own.
Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:10, “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”
You must personally pray and receive Christ as your own Savior believing that He will do what He promised and what you ask.
Acts 16:31, “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Pray and place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Pray from your heart and believe with all your heart:
Lord, I know I’m a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. I’m sorry for my sin. I ask you to forgive me. I ask you to come into my heart right now and be my savior. I trust you right now as my own savior. Help me to live for you and help me to please you from this day forward.
