Elijah A Jarvis

Pastor Jarvis comes to us from Syracuse, New York.  He is the son of David and Regina Jarvis and brother to nine siblings.  While attending Buckley Road Baptist Church, he made a profession of faith at the age of five.  As the years he realized that he hadn’t fully understood so at the age of thirteen alone in his bedroom he got saved—for real this time.

Pastor Jarvis graduated from high school in 2013 and went to Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City to pursue a one year Bible Certificate.  After that first year of college, God called him to the Gospel ministry and he surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of eighteen.  He returned to Heartland for the full four year program which he finished in December of 2017.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Studies with a Minor in Youth Ministries in May 2018.

God has given him a heart for young people and he cannot wait to see what God will do for us here.

In January of 2019, Pastor Elijah was joined by his lovely wife Abbie after they were married in Midland, Texas, Abbie’s hometown. We are happy to have this lovely young couple with us and look forward to many years together in this ministry.

Upon the retirement of Pastor Mike Andrews after 21 years of faithful service at Victory Baptist Church, and 4 years of serving on the pastoral staff, in March of 2022, Pastor Elijah was voted as Interim Pastor and a few months later voted as the full time pastor of Victory Baptist Church.
